Musikalisasi Puisi: Olahrasa Melalui Karya Sastra

Peningkatan mutu pendidikan diarahkan untuk meningkatkan kualitas manusia seutuhnya melalui olah hati, olahpikir, olahrasa dan olahraga, agar memiliki daya saing dalam menghadapi tantangan global.  Jika olah raga didapatkan dari mata pelajaran berbasis gerak dengan tes kemampuan fisik, olah pikir didapatkan dari mata pelajaran berbasis logika dengan tes hitungan dan lain-lain, olah hati dan olah rasa bisa didapatkan dalam mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia dengan media karya sastra. 


Melalui tulisan-tulisan indahnya, sastra menawarkan jendela ke dunia yang luas, tempat emosi dan pemikiran manusia tersaji dengan keindahan kata-kata. Apresiasi sastra melibatkan beberapa aspek penting. Dengan memahami konteks tersebut, diharapkan siswa dapat menangkap makna yang lebih dalam dari karya sastra tersebut. Selanjutnya, apresiasi sastra melibatkan penghormatan terhadap keindahan bahasa dan gaya penulisan.


Selain itu, apresiasi sastra juga mencakup pemahaman terhadap struktur naratif dan karakterisasi dalam sebuah karya. Selain manfaat estetika, apresiasi sastra juga memiliki banyak manfaat. Hal yang paling menonjol dari manfaat tersebut diantaranya yaitu membantu meningkatkan keterampilan berbahasa dan berpikir kritis seseorang. Memahami karya sastra yang kompleks memerlukan pemikiran analitis dan interpretatif. Dengan melatih keterampilan ini, apresiasi sastra diharapkan dapat memperkaya dan memperdalam pemahaman siswa tentang dunia.


Sejalan dengan manfaat di atas, SMA Edu Global Bandung baru saja mengadakan kegiatan apresiasi sastra untuk siswa kelas 10 dan 11. Kelas 10 ditugaskan untuk memusikalisasi puisi dari penyair-penyair ternama diantaranya adalah puisi “Aku Tidak Pernah Betul-Betul Pulang” karya Aan Mansur, “Aku Ingin” karya Sapardi Djoko Damono, puisi “Taman” karya Chairil Anwar, dan puisi “Peta Perjuangan” karya Bambang Sudono.


Selain penampilan musikalisasi puisi, pada kegiatan apresiasi sastra ini terdapat juga penampilan drama oleh kelas 11. Naskah drama yang ditampilkan adalah naskah-naskah yang siswa rancang sendiri. Judul drama yang ditampilkan adalah “Asmaraloka” karya XI IPA A dengan tema cerita cinta anak SMA, “Sandyaloka” karya XI IPA B dengan tokoh fiktif yang tidak menyukai pertengkaran, dan terakhir drama berjudul “Dukkha Dassa” karya XI IPS yang sangat menegangkan ketika ditampilkan.


Di akhir kegiatan ini tim penilai mengumumkan kelas dengan penampilan terbaik. Kelas 10 dimenangkan oleh kelas 10 D, dan kelas 11 diraih oleh kelas  11 IPA A. Apa yang ditampilkan dalam apresiasi sastra ini disesuaikan dengan capaian pembelajaran kelas 10 dan kompetensi dasar kelas 11. Tidak hanya sebagai media evaluasi pembelajaran siswa, kegiatan apresiasi sastra diharapkan menimbulkan rasa empati dan peka terhadap apa yang terjadi di lingkungan sekitar.
