Inspiring Global Future: Edu Global School Guides Students Toward Studying Overseas Through the Session “IELTS Enlightenment & Writing Motivation Letter”

“Mastering a language transcends grammar and vocabulary—it is an act of embracing new perspectives and unlocking doors to the global stage. For aspiring scholars who envision their future beyond borders, IELTS is not merely an exam; it is a meaningful journey toward self-discovery and the first step toward writing their own story.”

Bandung, November 4th, 2025 – Edu Global High School facilitated an academic development program titled “IELTS Enlightenment and Writing Motivation Letter” exclusively designed for 12th-grade students who are officially preparing to continue their studies at overseas universities. This initiative reflects the school’s strong commitment to support students who have chosen the international higher education pathway, providing them with intensive guidance on both language proficiency and academic preparation. The session particularly targeted students who are not taking the Tes Kompetensi Akademik (TKA), as their focus is directed toward meeting international university admission requirements.

The session featured Mr. Ihsan Nur Iman Faris, M.Pd., a lecturer at the Language Center of Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI). He is also a Fulbright Scholarship awardee for the Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (FLTA) program at Ohio University, USA, and has actively contributed to academic and linguistic initiatives at the Indonesian Embassies in Manila and Washington, D.C. With such international experience, Mr. Ihsan provided profound perspectives on the importance of global readiness for students aspiring to pursue higher education overseas with essential insights and practical skills to prepare for university studies abroad (PTLN).

During the first session, Mr. Ihsan delivered a comprehensive explanation of the IELTS (International English Language Testing System) format and preparation strategies—covering Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking components. He shared practical techniques on time management, skimming and scanning skills, and academic essay writing that aligns with international assessment criteria.
The second session focused on writing motivation letters; a crucial part of university application processes abroad. Through real examples and hands-on exercises, students learned how to craft personal statements that are authentic, engaging, and reflective of their academic goals and future contributions.
The event’s atmosphere was dynamic and interactive, with students enthusiastically sharing their questions and aspirations regarding studying overseas. It became an inspiring platform to nurture a global mindset among Edu Global School students.

“Through this program, we aim to ensure that every student has a clear academic direction and strong international competencies. For non-TKA students, this is an opportunity to prove their readiness to compete globally,” said Ms. Fitri Solehah, S.Pd., Vice Principal for Curriculum Affairs at Edu Global School Bandung. Meanwhile, Mr. Ihsan Nur Iman Faris, M.Pd., emphasized,
“IELTS is not merely a language test—it serves as a benchmark of one’s critical thinking and academic writing ability. Edu Global School students already demonstrate an advanced level of English proficiency. However, it’s important to understand that academic English, as tested in IELTS, differs significantly from everyday communication. Therefore, structured practice and a solid grasp of academic strategies are essential. With consistent effort and proper guidance, Edu Global students will achieve excellent results.”

Through this session, Edu Global School reaffirmed its ongoing commitment to preparing students for academic challenges at the global level. As a school that integrates the National Curriculum with the Cambridge Curriculum, Edu Global continues to design learning experiences that foster academic excellence and global readiness. The school also plans to hold follow-up IELTS workshops and motivation letter consultation sessions to help students build greater confidence in navigating their university application processes abroad.

As the event moderator, Ms. Elsah Amaliah, M.Pd., delivered a closing that encouraged students to continue progressing with confidence:
“This event is not only about understanding IELTS or writing a motivation letter—it’s also about building self-belief. Edu Global School consistently supports every student’s journey toward a broader, globally competitive future. With the right support, every student has an equal opportunity to continue their higher education on an international stage.”
